Right downtown, between the Sheraton Sofia and the Radisson SAS, are about 4 really good clubs. Should be no problem meeting people as these places get quite crowded. Don't be put off by the reserved signs that seem to be on every table, few waitresses speak English so if you sit down and insist that you won't be leaving, they leave you alone. The only other option is standing all night. Even the stools at the bars will have these signs, I have no idea why they do this.

From Sofia downtown take only "OK TAXI" to the Airport, because that's the official company running from and to the Airport. Other companies might charge you as much as 2,5 times of the cost of OK TAXI.
