| | Ensenada is located in Baja California just and hour 1/2 from the border of Mexico and San Diego. They have fun little wineries that are easy to get to. The tastings are free and most times they also are show casing other products i.e. bread and olive oil. At the bigger ones, they give free tours in English as well as free tastings. LA Cetto was the most memorable winery for me. They had beautiful grounds with tons of flowers, a peacock and a patio to sip your wine. The store also sold a selection of cheeses and crackers, which is perfect after a few glasses of wine :) One thing I learned on the tour was that they put olive trees surrounding the vineyard in order to protect from wind.
