This is a college student’s dream party town. There are bars ranging from small to famous. Shopping, drinking and hanging on the beach are the 3 best pastimes. There are enough shops to fill an afternoon with shopping. You can buy anything!!! Pinatas, candy, clothes, sandals, ceramics, jewelry...
As far as restaurants for breakfast and lunch, I suggest going to the small, local ones. If you see the food being made, stools that have you bellying up to the counter and locals eating-that is the place for you to be. Rosarito is so centrally located you could drive south and stop in other beach towns just for the afternoon or head to Ensenada and still have enough time and energy to go out at night.
