Belgrade (a.k.a Beograd) means white city. Kalemegdan is the big fortress in the center of the city. You can walk there from downtown. It is no more than 10 minutes walk. If you like chess, you can go there and play chess with seniors. Always you can find somebody to play chess with you. It is super chill place. The word Kalemegdan derives from Turkish language. Kale-megdan means, castle-arena in turkish.
