See the historical Pera Palas Hotel which was build in the 19 th Century for the purpose of hosting the passengers of the Orient Express. Who has not stayed there? Kings, queens, statesmen and Agatha Cristie!

Take your time and go to a real Turkish bath. The historical Cagaloglu Hamam from mid 18 th Century is recommendable. Enjoy a real Turkish massage, a mixture of soap massage and rubbing of your skin given by the hammam staff, but you will have to pay for these additional services.

When you're in Istanbul, you will for sure visit Grand Bazaar. But what about Misir Çarsisi It is another closed bazaar from the 17th Century and also in the historical part of Istanbul , in Eminönü just behind Yeni Camii (the New Mosque). You can buy all kinds of spices, seeds and herbs while enjoying the old structure. Closed on Sundays. By the way, do not forget to buy caviar. It is incredibly cheap there.
